BUYING ART

I work to keep things simple for you. If you are in the continental US, there is no additional charge for shipping. To ship art to Hawaii, Alaska, or internationally, there will be a surcharge for the cost over domestic shipping costs, and there may be taxes or duties levied by your government.

When you purchase work from my website

  • When you purchase my work on my website you should receive a confirmation email from lorin.labardee@gmail.com. Check your spam folder, if you did not receive it.

  • If you are in the Tucson area, I’m happy to deliver the work direct to you. It will be wired and ready to hang. If you are outside the Tucson area, your painting will be carefully packed for shipping. This can take up to a week, depending on the size of the painting and if it will be shipped stretched or rolled.

  • If the work is shipped, I will let you know once your piece is shipped, along with the tracking number so that you can track it on-line.

  • I generally ship smaller paintings by USPS or FedEx ground and can ship to your home or office.

  • For large paintings, I work with a freight service and we will work with you to coordinate the delivery.

Layaways

No problem! Send me an email at lorin.labardee@gmail.com with the piece you love and I’ll place it on reserve for one week. At the end of the week, I’ll follow up with you to see if you would like to add that work to your life. Putting a painting on reserve means that no one else will be able to buy the painting for one week, giving you the time to be sure you want to move forward.

About Scale and Dimensions

PLEASE NOTE-all portraits on book covers from my “Encyclopedia of Hats” series are permanently mounted on hardboard panels, a necessary feature particularly in the case of large portraits where multiple book covers were needed.  This hardboard panel increases the given size of the piece.  Please expect your piece to be about eight inches larger in height and width than the size show on the website.

PAYING FOR ART

Forms of Payment

When purchasing directly from my website, you may pay using PayPal or most major credit cards as well as Apple Pay.

Installment payment plans

Yes, I do and for some collectors this is an important benefit. My installment payment plans are interest free and the payment amount each month can be flexible to fit your budget or timeline. If there is a piece you love, but would like to pay for over time, message me through one of my social media channels or email me at lorin.labardee@gmail.com to let me know. We will sort out the number and timeline of payments.

Installment payment plan: the details

Once you make your first payment, I will put the painting On Reserve on my website so that no one else can purchase it. With each payment received (either by PayPal or major credit card), I’ll send an update with the balance. When the payments are complete, I will ship or, if you are in the Tucson area deliver, the art.

Are installment payments refundable?

No, the installment payments are not refundable. However, if something happens and you cannot continue your payments, let me know and we will work out a plan either for a new payment schedule, a different painting, or a credit towards a different paintin
